Brickset published a link to the 2007 LEGO annual report.

I was surprised that the company issues an annual report. I thought only
publicly traded companies did that. I was also surprised that it was translated
to English; although, I think I can tell that it is a translation, and it wasn't
originally written in English.
Anyway, a few of the highlights: (1) the best-selling set for 2007 was the fire
station. (2) sales for 2007 exceeded those of 2006 even more than expected.
(3) North America represents approximately 30% of LEGO sales. (4) LEGO occupies
a niche market in the toy industry with 3% of the market share.
Those are the bits I found interesting.
