Re: Brickshelf Backup Crawler for Mac

(...) Well, I had the advantage of writing it from scratch specifically for this purpose. It's funny because I had been thinking about writing a Brickshelf upload utility (like (URL) Flickr Uploadr>) but circumstances resulted in a download utility (...)   Re: Revitalizing or Replacing BrickShelf In Some Form

(...) For the record, I am hosting some LEGO club sites in exchange for links back to the main Northstar page. I also host a number of LEGO-related sites (including bricklink.com) on a paid basis. brickshelf.com requires massive resources that (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brickshelf.com – A Possible Solution

(...) I have noticed on LUGNET that there are a number of sites that are being offered as alternatives to BrickShelf. My concern is the issue of the number of sites now competing to fill the void and splintering the community, rather than one major (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: Brickshelf Backup Crawler for Mac

Thanks for that Jim. I got the script working for user backup, and Peter Bartfai (the author of the original script) also got one working for user backup (before seeing my email that I'd gotten it working). However, while I haven't looked at Peter's (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: Brickshelf Backup Crawler for Mac

(...) Here's a very rudimentary application that does the same thing for those who aren't comfortable using the Terminal: (URL) Download BrickshelfBackup.app.zip> (26k; probably requires Mac OS X 10.4, as does the bscrawl.tcl script) Double-click (...)   An Open Letter to Kevin (BrickShelf)

Dear Kevin, I wish to thank you for your efforts over the years with respect to Brickshelf. I cannot express in words what it has meant to me over the years. I understand the effort and expense that it takes to organize, host, and provide this (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general) !!

  MOCpages, now a Brickshelf alternative

Hi, everyone... With the looming shut-down of Brickshelf, I would like to offer (URL) MOCpages> as a safe alternative for everyone to continue posting their LEGO creations. In light of this, MOCpages now offers free image hosting. Of course, you can (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.announce.mocpages, FTX) !!

Re: Brickshelf and the AFOL community

(...) It took me a few weeks from first hearing the name to figure it out, but it's a trademarkable spelling of the second syllable of the word "image". Not pronounced quite the same, but clearly the source of the word. (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Won't someone please think of the dead people? (Was: Brickshelf back up)

(...) Okay, so we've got two weeks to scour Brickshelf for stuff we want to save...assuming we're around to do so. I can recall at least three AFOLs who have passed on, and I'm sure there are others. It'd be really cool if their photos could be (...) (17 years ago, 17-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: Brickshelf and the AFOL community

(...) I've decided to start migrating my BS account to MAJ. Fortunately for me, my gallery is pretty small.   Re: Brickshelf back up (at least temporarily)

Re: Please bring BS back - at least in a locked version!!

Re: Please bring BS back - at least in a locked version!!

  Brickshelf Backup Crawler for Mac
