Built by my son, Ross. Portable. I lost my queen in our first game
because I couldnt tell the pieces apart. He didnt care;-)
Enjoy,

Thats awesome! I think I can see how to make the pieces, but the folding
board looks tricky. Got better pictures so we can make our own?

Nice!
I just finished helping my son make a checkerboard (because its easy for a
first try) on LEGO Factory, and I wanted to make it fold too, but no car roof
hinges in the brickset, so well modify it to make it fold nicely like Ross
has done once it arrives. Hes already started on chessmen as well.
Correct me if Im wrong, but it looks like pairs of these were used along the
center of the board:
In the assembly, the 1x4 4315s are facing back to back, and are supported by
2x plates on the underside. Great idea.

Hello, Ed!
You are exactly right-- those are the elements Ross used. He bound them
together with a 2x16 plate. The rest is fairly simple. Ill pass along the
kudos to Ross!
