As mentioned last month, LEGO Factory has just now been updated with quite a
few improvements - including individual part pricing rather than by-the-bag
pricing - among several other things. Theres a new LDD (v1.6) released,
which also runs on Intel Macs, and more than 500 different bricks, including
elements for trains and minifigs as well as decorated bricks. Oh, and
one more important thing...
It includes an LDraw Exporter.
I havent downloaded and played with it yet, but Im about to. The press
release says there will be about a 60% savings over bag-based palettes.

I just wanted to chime in and say that the LDD update is great. But the software
is no longer working. It seems to crash every time I launch it. I even
downloaded a new copy and reinstalled it. I thought it was going to work,
because it was loading the parts. Then it just crashed before starting the
program. If I remember correctly, it was working before I did the last Apple
Security Update. Then again it also crashed after I imported an Ldraw file. So I
am not sure what is causing it to crash but I cant use it now. :(

| (...) I had the same problem, and found out it was because there had to be a sound file added from here: (URL) that, and give it a shot. Joe Meno (18 years ago, 15-May-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)
