My initial impressions so far are that they've made a great step forward
thus far but appear to have made a rather limited step towards support of
actual studless elements.
The stuff one could actually order for studless elements is so far limited
to a single liftarm type, the 6632 technic, liftarm 1x3 thin (referred to in
LDD as a lever), and then only because of the inclusion of the 32002 techinc
pin 3/4, and a few assorted technic brick, axle, and pin types, which are
not related to studless construction.
I would like to see greatly extended support for a lot of Technic element
types, both in beams and liftarms, but particularly in gears, and other
non-brick elements commonly used in Technic creations nowadays.
