  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) That is exactly why I like the belville figs more. At least they don't have that silly stud on their heads.. .. Well, there are also some other reasons.. But indeed, a minifig without something on their heads is a poor show, and not very (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  LEGO brickpedia options

I've enjoyed looking through Allan Bedfords 'Unnofficial LEGO Builders Guide' and browsing his brickopedia. I also enjoy browsing Peeron part inventories. But I'm looking for more. In a dream world, I'd like to have: A printed publication (because I (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

In lugnet.general, Thomas Main wrote a lot (...) I will keep it short as I can as some of these are long. Swanberg is an issue because no one has done what he has or at least hasn't been caught doing it. It's a big deal because it reflects poorly on (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) <snip Legofan paragraph> (...) I think your concern over your Lego hobby is a bit hard on yourself. Those of us in the 'developed world' often spend more on a burger then some families in less fortunate parts have to feed a family for a week. (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

I read that as Pedalofigphobia, something completely different. Tim (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) No, you are absolutely right .. What was I thinking.. figs without their head studs covered are indecent. Thanks for setting me straight :) -- James Stacey www.minifig.co.uk (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

Dude, the Mace Windu minifig wants to have a serious conversation with you. Dave S. (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) Then take a break. I know I have, many times. I haven't updated my website in almost a year. I've got about five completed projects that I would love to photograph and display, but I'm too busy trying to find a new career. Lego as a hobby is (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

Vintage LEGO sets being sold on eBay by LEGO

I didn't see any other postings about this, so hopefully this isn't old news. I got an email from Shop At Home today with a pretty wild link in it: (URL) The have "opened the LEGO vaults" and put some vintage 70s sets on eBay. Pretty cool. :) All (...)   Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Eek, but then you can see {inside} his head to where his brains should be! While bald solid-studded minifig heads are bad enough, those poor souls who lost their brains through the holes in the tops of their heads are pitiable. Chris (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Yes, Yes, and Yes! (...) I too am a peladofigphobiac. And it's unfortunate, because my sigfig has to wear his hat a lot more than I do. I don't have enough on top to use a hair piece, but I certainly don't have a stud on my head. (2 URLs) Tony (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  John Lennon tribute

I saw this a few weeks ago and thought maybe Nathan would make a post today. I don't see that he did, so here's Nathan's very unique tribute to John Lennon: (URL) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.sculpture) !

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) I used to and I still do if its a yellow fig head (or #shudder# pink head) However when the fig is clearly wearing headcoverings due to the printing such as this little fellah <img (URL) then its all ok -- James Stacey www.minifig.co.uk (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

--SNIP-- (...) Perhaps the train is being ridden by a bunch of aging AFOLs. Tim (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

Hello! (...) So am I. (...) I wouldn't go so far to call them poor builders. However, I deny them the sense of aesthetics. It's even worse if somebody builds a train and the passengers are bald Space figs and Castle figs. Bye Jojo (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Yes, yes I am. In fact, I have to stop myself, (often) from offering to send misc hats and hair pieces to the owner of creations that leave head studs exposed. Janey "Red Brick" (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Peladofigphobia

Do you find the appearance of a minifig with no hat, hair, or helmet to be unsettling? Do you find your minifigs to be incomplete without something covering that top stud? When veiwing the creations of others, do you find the appearance of a (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX) !!

NQJ - Brick It Forward - not goodbye, but adieu

(sniff) Today, I have a jumble of emotions. I am both sad, and happy. It is with a sad heart that I have to announce the natural ending of Not Quite Jambalaya (aka Brick It Forward.) It is with the joy, and glee of a small child on Christmas morning (...)   Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) I'd say some of the fun in gone, but maybe it is just out of our reach and it is up to us to make the most of it. I personnaly have so many driving and creative juices I could be occupied for the next umpteen years. Does the community hold the (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)
