  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Yes, Yes, and Yes! (...) I too am a peladofigphobiac. And it's unfortunate, because my sigfig has to wear his hat a lot more than I do. I don't have enough on top to use a hair piece, but I certainly don't have a stud on my head. (2 URLs) Tony (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  John Lennon tribute

I saw this a few weeks ago and thought maybe Nathan would make a post today. I don't see that he did, so here's Nathan's very unique tribute to John Lennon: (URL) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.sculpture) !

  Re: Peladofigphobia

Hello! (...) So am I. (...) I wouldn't go so far to call them poor builders. However, I deny them the sense of aesthetics. It's even worse if somebody builds a train and the passengers are bald Space figs and Castle figs. Bye Jojo (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Peladofigphobia

(...) Yes, yes I am. In fact, I have to stop myself, (often) from offering to send misc hats and hair pieces to the owner of creations that leave head studs exposed. Janey "Red Brick" (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Peladofigphobia

Do you find the appearance of a minifig with no hat, hair, or helmet to be unsettling? Do you find your minifigs to be incomplete without something covering that top stud? When veiwing the creations of others, do you find the appearance of a (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX) !!

NQJ - Brick It Forward - not goodbye, but adieu

(sniff) Today, I have a jumble of emotions. I am both sad, and happy. It is with a sad heart that I have to announce the natural ending of Not Quite Jambalaya (aka Brick It Forward.) It is with the joy, and glee of a small child on Christmas morning (...)   Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) I'd say some of the fun in gone, but maybe it is just out of our reach and it is up to us to make the most of it. I personnaly have so many driving and creative juices I could be occupied for the next umpteen years. Does the community hold the (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) Yes, I would concur with this. But I don't see it as being all bad. IMHO, the more choices the better for everyone. Some forums Murrfle at the drop of a hat...some seem Elitist...others are full of drivel. Take for instance JLUG - it is not (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

Thomas, Good Afternoon! Things aren't all bad...it sounds to me as if you're sorely needing a building break. So do I! But don't let that fool you into thinking things are worse overall; really, this is a matter of perspective. (...) One thing about (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) Yeah, it seems Lugnet's kinda dead. I've noticed this for a while. (...) Well, I don't think they detract from the community, if that's your concern. Ambassadors help spread the news, help take in ideas to Lego and that's not a bad thing. (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

(...) These are good and valid points. The kind of thing that I totally understand being thought about and discussed. But there seemed an almost "stone him" kind of mean-spiritedness about what I saw online too. (...) I do this kind of thing too!! (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Old Light & Dark Gray Brick packs are gone

(...) Well it is sad to see them go but we knew it was coming. . . I am surprised they didn't run out long ago. For anyone who is interested, I just bought quite a good number of packs of 2x2 bricks in light grey and brown last week. They are still (...)   Re: Lego Hobby Blues

Hey Thomas, A good and thoughtful post, but I have to disagree with some of the points. Swanberg - Yes, there is the Michael Jackson factor and we all like to gossip, but I do think there were some relevant questions that did impact the community: (...) Hello Thomas, Your posting caught my eye today as you're obviously unhappy with the way you see things. At the bottom of your message you say: (...) I'm hoping to provide some discussion. As to whether or not that also constitutes "insight" is up to (...) (19 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)
