I've had some luck with "UHU" brand glue sticks.
I also use these glue sticks to adhere mockups of custom "stickers" (printed on
regular paper) prior to printing on self-adhesive sheets.
One of the benefits to these glue sticks is that they clean up with soap and
water so you are not permanently damaging your bricks.
