I was back at my parents house over the weekend and came home with a box of
old LEGO.  I have been able to identify a few sets from the box but am
stuggling with some as well.  Unfortunately there were no instructions with
these sets.

So far I have identified:

442 - Space Shuttle - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=442-1
455 - Lear Jet - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=455-1
430 - Bi Plane - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=430-1
760 - London Bus - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=760-2
650 - Car with Trailer - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=650-1
445 - Police Units - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=445
455 - Fire Truck - http://www.lugnet.com/pause/search/?query=485-1

There appears to be the parts from a Fire Station but I have been unable to
determine which one.  Does anyone know which fire station that would be
roughly the same vintage as the sets listed above?  I have three clear doors
that attach to shutter bricks (I suspect I am missing one door) that I think
go with the fire station.  These doors are clear with grooves and are four
dots wide and almost six bricks high.

I have two white garage doors.  They have the part number 4511 on them.
They are six dots wide and  almost six  bricks high.  I also have some red
2x8 45 degree slopes.  Any idea what sets these appeared in?

All of the parts are in good shape and most of the sets listed above are
complete.  I was very excited to find the London Bus although most of the
stickers are unfortunately gone.

Any help would be appreciated.

(...) To my knowledge, the only fire station fitting that description would be 590 Engine Co. No. 9. (...) The 2x8 slopes appeared in a number of sets, though mostly in the mid- to later 80's. 6379 Riding Stable was one such set. Anybody know of (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)
