hey Everyone, my first post to LUGNET, go easy on me ;)
anyway, i saw a thread on X pods the other day, but have since lost
it... I've bought some X pods from Argos (catalog shop) and have been
thinking about uses for the pods, not just in regular modeling, but also
in LEGO robotics...
the X pods are perfectly round around the outside, and with the cross
axle hole through the middle could probably make a great wheel for a
skid steer type sumobot , where the back wheels move along with the
front, but can also move sideways to improve turning circle on 4wd
machines. I'm currently working on building up a little system to show
this concept, I'll get back to you once its finished ;)
Been a LEGOer 15 years, ever since i got my first DUPLO set age 3 :).
lately rediscovered LEGO after a year or so out, which is annoying
because my parents cant find where my collection is :(
oh, btw, Red X pod flying thing + Green X pod mecha = mecha with funky
head ;)
