Bought a couple 12-15 years ago when they had US distribution. They are very
nice -- very tough, colorful plastic. The black connector bands are rubber, and
if I recall correctly they are held in with pins (the pin heads being visible in
the pics). The figures shown are new to me, though -- it was just the vehicles
back then.
There has been a similar but apparently lower-quality product here in the US
seen by me in smaller toy shops over the last 2 years or so. I had assumed they
were knock-offs of some sort; I don't recognize the designs on that web site
from recent store visits, but I do recognize the "Small Car" which I bought back
around 1990 (minus the figures).
