understand why so few people seem care - or - on the other hand, why people
are happy to simply forgive and forget (or simply “sweep it under the
carpet”).

Because Tim tried to do his best. And because he’s gone out of his way to make
good on something that wasn’t his fault at all.
The hundred’s of folks out there you’re speaking for can raise their own voices
if they have a problem. I’m sure your only concern is for the community-- not
to personally attack him or mud-sling... right? So rest assured, things are
being taken care of.
