Expansion of the bulk line? When?

Has anyone heard anything news or rumors about Lego Direct expanding the
selection of bulk parts offered through S@H?
With the advent of the "Pick-a-Brick" selection at the Lego theme parks and
European company stores, I have been hoping that Lego Direct would be able
to expand their bulk selection.
Yes, this has been a banner year for the brick. The "Make & Create" line and
continued growth of the Train theme are wonderful. And I love the Legends.
But in the end, I'm still hoping for more bulk bricks... (Tan 1xX bricks?
Brown plates? Complete roof element packs?).
And I'm really hoping that there is an announcement along these lines at
BrickFest. Or as Christmas approaches.
