Are the sails on the 10040 made from a different material than the sails on the 6285? I seem to rememver that the sails on the 6295 were made from heaver fabric but I could be wrong of course :) (22 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.general)

As far as I can recall, the only pirate ship I owned was the Black Seas Barracuda (which does not include a compass) and I never owned any aquazone. Anyone know of where I might have gotten it (...)   Re: Quick review of 7470 Space Shuttle (plus lamenting STAMPs)

(...) SNIP (...) SNIP (...) I've successfully used a pen knife AFTER I've applied the stickers to separate the sticker into it's brick-appropriate separations. You don't have to push the blade hard at all, and the seam between bricks guides the cut. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

(...) [ snip -- well done review ] (...) Hi Huw and Others, I built mine yesterday and agree this is a fantastic set. It's very much like Model Team, Star Wars UCS, and LEGO Direct's sculptures/famous-planes sets. Lot's of detail, no juniorization. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

Set 10042, American Flag set IN HAND

Hey all, just got back from LLCA and they had the American Flag set for sale. And for those wondering if the 'stars' were 1x1 round plates or 1/2 pins - well they are indeed 1/2 pins, see pic: (URL) Mark P (URL) Have you Visited the Land of Bricks?> (22 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) especially the castle section with all the great jokes. I'm not sure what I found funnier - the Wolfpack guys trying to fly with the dragon wings (splat!) or the treasure hunters digging away right next to the big red X that is obviously (...)   Re: Lego Road Show: the Prequel

(...) Lots of nice creations, and a good job showing them off. I especially love the details and humor in the medieval layout. The underground cut-aways are superb! Brian (22 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.events)

  Lego Road Show: the Prequel

As I'm sure many of you know, Lego's planning a tour of about 20 major cities across the US this summer: (URL) in case you didn't know, they've also asked a bunch of local LUG groups to help out at these shows by showing up with their own creations (...)   Re: treasure chest question...

(...) One version has slots in the back, the older one does not: (URL) that helps. Mark P (URL) (22 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.general)
