BIONICLE™ Blaster Whirls LEGOLAND® Guests Into New Dimensions of Fun, Action
and Excitement

Interactive Ride Is Based on Popular LEGO® Action Toy

CARLSBAD, Calif., -- There's an exhilarating new spin on fun at LEGOLAND®
California. The 128-acre theme park in Carlsbad has added a new ride to its
collection of more than 50 rides, shows and attractions.  Named BIONICLE™
Blaster, this colorful ride puts guests in the heart of the action in 12
cars that twist and spin on a round platform. This ride is based on the
popular BIONICLE line of action toys that has captured two top awards from
the American Toy Industry Association -- "Most Innovative Toy of the Year"
and "Best Boy Toy of the Year."

"BIONICLE Blaster is the fifth ride we have added to LEGOLAND California
since the theme park opened in as many years," said Bill Haviluk, President
and General Manager of LEGOLAND.  "This latest ride represents our
commitment to provide world-class entertainment to families with kids ages
2-12."

Built near the theme park's TECHNIC Coaster, each set of three
BIONICLE-themed vehicles spins counterclockwise while the entire ride
platform also rotates.  Up to five guests per car huddle around a wheel in
the center of each vehicle.   The more they spin the wheel, the wilder their
ride.  Like most of the attractions at the family-oriented theme park,
BIONICLE Blaster invites kids of all ages to be interactive participants,
creating more fun the more they get involved.

The BIONICLE action line has generated a large, loyal following among kids
ages 7 and up.  It weaves an elaborate story around six heroes known as The
Toa, as well as villains like Turaga and Rahi, and the dark shadow called
Makuta.  BIONICLE is the first time the LEGO Company has launched a new toy
line with a compelling, unfolding story, fueling kids' imaginations and
curiosity as they learned about the characters and their objectives on the
mythical island paradise of Mata Nui.

The BIONICLE Blaster ride has a minimum height requirement of 42" to ride.
With an opportunity to spin together, families can round out their day at
LEGOLAND California.

LEGOLAND California is a 128-acre family theme park dedicated to families
with children between the ages of 2 and 12.  Just like with LEGO toys, kids
are the ones who make things happen at the Park.  They drive, pedal, squirt,
climb, jump, stomp, slide, steer, pull, click, push, gallop, laugh, build
and program their way through more than 50 rides and attractions.  There are
only three other LEGOLAND parks in the world -- LEGOLAND® Billund in
Denmark, LEGOLAND® Windsor outside of London and LEGOLAND® Deutschland near
Gunzburg, Germany.  For the most current information, log on to
www.legoland.com or call 1-877-LEGOLAND.
