Danish toy maker Lego is laying off workers from its Enfield-based operations.
The company's North American operations are based in Enfield. A company
spokesman says today's 72 layoffs are part of the company's global
restructuring.
Lego says 57 jobs are being eliminated within manufacturing and distribution
and 15 jobs are being cut in support areas.
The jobs cuts are effective immediately.
Famed for its interlocking plastic building blocks, Lego has expanded in
recent years with electronic activities.
