what does SNOT mean.  is there an online glossary of lego jargon that I
could bone up on somewhere?

The Lugnet acronym list is at: (URL) (studs-not-on-top) is a building technique which doesn't obey the ordinary 'brick stacking' building technique. Examples in recent lego sets include the nose of the Santa Fe Super Chief and much of the Imperial (...) (21 years ago, 23-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
