After four years of lurking I going to finally post.

It was assembled after construction several different cranes over the last
5-6 years. I think we are all originally inspired by Dennis Boseman's
LG-1550. Jennifer Clark provided more inspiration although this model was
completed prior to her AC-50.
All the necessary information came from the information at the Demag website

General Features:
Scale is approximately 1:16 - I only have that size wheel/tire.
The model is 14 studs wide.
The boom does not have diagonal bracing.
The boom hoist and three winch drums are driven by new style motors.
Motors are not used for wheel drive, steering or swing/slewing.
The front axles are steered from the wheel on the drivers side of the cab.
The rear axles are steered from a rear bumper mounted steering wheel. This
allows "crab steering"
The front two and rear two axles steer the "most". The remaining front
three and rear are steered through a 8:24 to 16:16 reduction.
Just like Dennis, the model is supported not only by the outriggers, but
also by additional blocking.
Most gratifing technical problems solved:
The sturdy transition from straight to 45', allowing the outriggers
traditional mounting and pinning to the slewing ring.
The design of the boom tip and upper load block.
The use of tiles to support the technic turntable. (actually use three or
models ago)
Things that need improvement:
The LEGO hook block designs I have seen do not allow the load to turn
without use of bolts or metal pins. I've tried many different things and
just haven't found a saticfactory solution.
Only modification:
Yes I drilled the "cross" out of the 1x6 pulleys to allow rotation on an axle.
Only regret:
Should have used smaller photo sizes for the upload to the Brickshelf. Sorry.
