LOL, oops.
What's happening there is that the subject-cruncher is taking the subject line,
Re: (was: Kmart 20% off Toys) different RBR
and applying two of its crunching rules:
1. Strip off "Re:" at the beginning
2. Strip off anything from "(was..." onward
and crunching it down to nothing at all! :-)
I suppose #2 should only strip up to the matching right parenthesis.
