would be interesting to see how far the survivors got.

I contacted the author of the article to find out what had washed-up. His
reply said:

    Lego from the lost shipment washed up in Cornwall
    and along the southern North Sea near Zaandvoort.
    Non so far across the Atlantic in North America.

So keep scanning those beaches!

Interesting. I especially like the 28,700 yellow rafts and 26,400 minifig life preservers in there. Would've expected *those* to be the parts to survive. :) I remember this article, but I wonder if there has been any follow-up? It would be (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)
