Yup, another 'where did this come from' post :)

This resembles nothing so much as a minifig scale washtub.  It's approx 2
bricks high, 4 studs wide at the base, 5 wide at the top.  It has a 2x2 round
type of connection for sticking it to baseplates, and a 2x2 pattern of studs
on the inside of the tub.  It is brown, with the standard 'barrel' type of
molding around the outside.

So, what do I have here?

James,
It's a crows' nest.  I have one from 6260 Shipwreck Island (where it is
pictured as a personal watercraft of some sort) and one from 6270
Forbidden Island where it is actually used as a crows' nest observation
post.  Odd that no ship sets use them...

Except maybe:

Pneumatic River Cruiser
Neptune Battle Rig
Riptide Tug Paravane
Sea Warp
Dragon's Motorboat

(all set names generated using the Fibblesnork Random LEGO Set Name
Generator, hee hee!)
