Yes. I do it, for instance.
Sign up on lugnet... you don't need to be paid, just sign yourself up for
posting on the forums with the hotmail address. Then go to the groups
you're interested in and sign up for them as mailing lists. You'll get the
option of having individual emails or digest-style emails - I particularly
suggest digest for this group.
I don't remember any other details, but I don't remember it being
particularly difficult either.
