Uh. How do I answer that. ...I currently work for the Inventory Control
department at a manufacturing plant, so I have seen a few programs that
would do the trick. ...However, they generally involve investing corporate
sums of money and hiring consultants to train you... Yet, you might try
looking around the internet for Inventory Control software, if that's really
what you want.
...Personally, I only recently discovered the heavenly joy of finding that
my collection is finally large enough that I often have the piece I need, if
I have the patience to try to find it... In building a Castle, I found a
good use for an inverted slope brick. When I decided to duplicate the
usage, I was pleasantly surprise to find I had several more of what I
previously thought to be a rare piece in my collection. Then I went crazy,
decided I would expand the use to require fourteen more, dug through my
boxes for only ten minutes and found I had exactly that amount. I started
dancing around the room (almost toppling my castle) and using words similar
to "Holy Cow"...
I think that surprise was worth not having a system to track my bricks... :)
