Now that we've analyzed the Low Corner Slopes, how about Steep Corner Slopes.

Granted Steep Slopes don't come in Service Packs (too bad), and are therefore much
much scarcer than the low slopes (I bought about 10 blacksmith shops about 7 years
ago only for the red steep slopes).   So they exist in only 4 styles, 1x2x3, 2x2x3,
2x2x3 (convex corner) and the 2x2x2 near pyramid peaks (what I call "Santa's Hat).
Granted not all sizes come in all colors.  And the yellow 2x2x3 convex corner ones
may be the scarcest and  most desireable ones (Yellow Castle).  But it sure would be
nice to have a 2x2x3 concave (inside) corner brick.

I love steep slopes for use as tower roofs, and especially in use as a Mansard roof
(check out half the buildings in Paris).  I am planning on building a large
government building in that Parisian style by using a 2x2 window with a 2x2 regular
sloped brick above it (in the same color as the steep slopes) in place of every
other steep slope of my roof line.  That will enable me to enlarge the size of the
structure, due to the scarcity of these pieces.  On top of them I'll be using a flat
plate roof with tiles, granted another scarce commodity.  Below this roof, I'll be
using 2 or 3 stories of the 4x3 windows (with shutters), and at ground floor a
collonade of 2x6 arches.  This will sort of look like the buildings on the north
side of the Rue du Rivoli across the street from the Louvre (another building I'd
love to make but for the lack of bulk parts orders).

Anyway, I'm rambling again, but it sure would be nice to have convex corner steep
sloped bricks, so you could make an "L" shaped mansard roofed building.  No
logistical problems here, especially since there are no "peak" bricks to worry
about.

(...) by adding a 1x3 slope to each side) it would increase attachable area, and stabilize the piece. This could also be done with the medium slope (increase to 3x3 with 1x2 slope area added to each side.) Of course, If they went and did all of the (...) (26 years ago, 24-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
