A few months ago in a large lot acquisition I found these 2 strange red
bricks: they have a 2x3 plate base, and sticking vertically up from one of
the ends is a triangular "thing" that goes up 3 units.  For some reason I

them.  Does anyone know of any sets with these pieces? They don't look very
old, probably mid 80's to early 90's.

Thanks in advance,

My guess is a ladder base.  Look at <set:392_2>.  I have one in my
collection, from this set.
