How can things be so bad? The ZB in my area never can keep legos in stock. The had ~30 Mindstorms on Oct 16 and they were gone by Nov 10th. never to be seen on the shelf again. Is lego just not making enough of the items that people want? I would (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

This is the third time in a week I've seen this problem, so I have to bring it up. Loose is not the word you want here. Loose means not tight, or not secured in one place. I lost weight, now my pants are loose. I left my front door open and now my (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

My understanding of the words lose and loosen are closer in meaning (in english) than you think. The greek word is ballo or "I loose" - I let go. I loosed weight (let go of it).
