This one I can answer - yes. The old style wheels had studs on them, and
that's how you used them. That plus 4x4 round turntables. LEGO still makes
turntables, but the old ones were completely round, whereas the new ones now
have a square plate as their base. (See <part:3403> + <part:3404>)

| Hi. I found a nice lot of 60's and 70's stuff yesterday at the local Salvation Army, which included some large gears: 2 blue (8-stud diameter), 4 yellow (4-stud), and 4 white (2-stud). There are no axles included in the lot. All of the Samsonite (...) (25 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)
