And I'm just guessing, but I imagine they won't use the baseplate (which I believe is gray) as a color because then there would be noticable "dips" in the picture. (...) You send in a photo and they will scan it and create a mosaic of your photo and send you the correct number of 1x1 plates and a drawing of where to place them, but here is the best part-- a *NEW* brick color!! The mosaics will be white, black, gray, (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad)

(...) and (...) Plates or tiles? We've heard both. I of course would prefer tiles, and in fact, tiles may be cheaper for TLC since they use less plastic. I took pics of his hands, and ranted to the workers there that I needed 6005 in yellow to build my yellow Fury. NOT ONE mentioned that TLG was going to sell it!!! I took pics of its' hands, because I wanted pics of 6005 in yellow. I didn't know they were going to be selling it, or I'd have taken more full pics of it.
