Hi all,
I've posted on here a few times, most recently with the LEGO creations contest.
I forgot, or I guess have not gotten around, to tell everyone why I got back
into LEGOs. I got the itch for them when I was thinking about a way to write a
"graphic novel/comic book" type story. Since I am at best a weakly talented
pen and paper artist, I decided on LEGOs as my medium to work in.
From there, I'm sure you can understand, I was bitten by the LEGO bug, and I
have been buying lots of sets and individual pieces. God, I am loving this
hobby. My Dark Ages were long but now I am out.
I attended Brickfest which was a lot of fun, and played Brikwars which was also
fun. But the thing that got me back into LEGOs was this graphic novel thing I
am working on. So far it is 12 pages long, with approximately 5 panels per
page. That's 59 full color shots so far of a LEGO story. In the next few
weeks, I plan on adding another 10 pages.
So, inspired by a lot of you on here, and being in awe of a lot of your work, I
just wanted to share my work with you.
That, and plug my contest one more time. :)
You can find the story here: http://members.xoom.com/dsl1999/lego.html
Have fun, and thanks for helping me to discover this great hobby again,
Jason
