I just found 3051 Blaze Attack and 3053 Emperor's Stronghold at
the TRU in Allentown, PA today, and, of course, bought both.
First the good, not only does 3053 have a pair of 3x3 blue low
slope corners, but the bricks of the building, which I thought
were white in the catalog, are actually tan!  This fact, coupled
with black slopes (medium and extreme), black railings, brown
2x2 round bricks, and a whole lot of other useful parts makes
this probably the best parts set I've seen yet in the Ninja
line.  Now on to the bad...

As most of you know I love roof bricks (not like... love).  So
of course I was overjoyed to see grey inside corners in the
X-Wing Fighter, and grey outside corners in 5976 River Expedition
(also available in last years 5958 Mummy's Tomb).  I was even
more excited when I saw 3051 Blaze Attack in the January S@H
catalog and say grey gable connector pieces!  I thought, "Great,
all three rare types of roof brick available in the same color
in the same year!".  Now, you're probably wondering what's the
problem then?  Well, in case you haven't guessed by now, I
opened the 3051 and found that all the pieces that appeared to
be grey are actually DARK grey.  So now instead of just wanting
grey gable connectors, I also want DARK grey inside and outside
corners!  Besides this dissapointment, this set is also a very
good parts set, includings lots of dark grey plates and slopes
(medium and extreme), brown 1x1 round bricks and 4x4 round bricks,
THREE different colored gems (tr. red, tr. grn/yel, tr. lt. blue),
grey 1x4 tiles and tan 2x2 tiles.  One other dislike is the
"Town Juniorizing" of another piece.  There is a 4x6 brick with
medium slopes at either end.  Basically the same as putting a
2x4 brick between two 2x4 medium slope bricks.  While my first
thought was it would be useless I've since reconsidered, thinking
that a row of these pieces along the top of a roof would give
extra support to the roof.
