OK, here's my take on this....
Remember those architectural wooden blocks that sometimes serve this purpose,
well use LEGO instead of blocks.
Here's what I would use (sort of a Greek/Roman Temple effect)
All white bricks......
(36) 2x2 round bricks
(2) 2x10 beams
(2) 2x8 beams
(8) 2x4 bricks
(2) 2x3 bricks
(16) 2x2 bricks
(8) 1x2 bricks
(4) 1x1 bricks
(4) 1x4x5 half arches
(4) 1x2x6 arches
(4) 1x2x4 arches
(2) 2x2 low sloped peaks
(8) 2x3 low sloped bricks
