I have just finished building some heavy goods vehicles:

1920's solid tyre truck
1920's solid tyre van
1930's pneumatic tyre forward control truck

and a

1930's fire engine (New World body style)

These are BEAUTIFUL. The goofy technic hubs finally have a use
in vehicles that are not mice inside giant robot cats. Lookup
set 8257 and see what I mean.

The flip down sides of the stake truck are a nice touch. I
find it a challenge to build a function into small vehicles. Things like
suspension, motors, tilting cabs, etc are fun to squeeze into smaller
and smaller vehicles.

Allan you are indeed a master of great Town vehicles.

The rest of us should not lament the "juniorization" of the
LEGO town linup, but instead take inspiration for creators like Allan.
