Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) That is the best one yet! The style reminds me of the Nostromo from 'Aliens.' I especially like the use of the white octagonal corridor sections and grey X-wing engines. --Colin __ __ __ __ __ __ | |_| |_| |_| | | |_| | | | Brick Engineer | | (...)   Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) I try to make it look real not only with details but the photos. I like to view the spaceships from low perspective angles which makes a reality of big scales. Ken takeuchi (24 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

(...) I do the same thing. :] Look at this: (URL) tried to place the lens at the same perspective as a mini-figure's eyes. Now I just need to find a good black backdrop. --Colin __ __ __ __ __ __ | |_| |_| |_| | | |_| | | | Brick Engineer | | | (...)   Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) Actually it reminds me more of the USS Sulaco from Aliens. Really nice lego model. I'd suggest any lego space fans take a look at Syd Meads design works. He started out in automobile design and for the last few decades has been designing all (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) Oops, that's what I meant. Freudian slip. (...) Ironically, Cameron vetoed many of Mead's original design concepts for _Aliens._ The original sulaco was a bulbous craft with a spiral section on the back. (...) There's also a video game for the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) You've done a nice work on the minifig controlled robot! Especially the idea of skirts using the racing pod. About the photo: I suggest to get maybe half the distance closer and look it up (in wider lens, if possible). (...) For the background (...)   Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) I just bought a square yard of black felt at a fabric store for about $4.00. Very cheap. I keep one side clean from lint with the sticky side of masking tape. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) Are his book still being sold? Does anyone know where in the U.S. one might buy one? (...) Yah. I was pretty disappointed to see that the infantry in S.T. were unarmored. :-/ My "Mad Wabbit" model (1) was modeled very much after the M.I. of (...)   Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

Re: Extraordinary style + details in a spaceship

(...) It may take days to discuss about this. :) But the director Mr.Tomino says it was a must to break out "old" Gundams after the 20th anniversary since his memorial first series.
