Change frequency on R/C Racer (5600)

I found the R/C racer on sale so I bought three. One for each of my sons
and one for myself. I am hoping that the radios can be modified so that we
can use them together. I opened the transmitter and I noticed there is a
27.145mhz crystal in there. So I imagine that wouldn't be to hard to
change. However, there is no crystal in the receiver, so I'm a little lost.
Has anybody else tried to do this, or does anybody have any suggestions?
