  Large macaroni from set 4753

Yesterday, I purchased set 4753, "Sirius Black's Escape." The main reason I bought it was something that intrigued me from the photos - what looked like a large radius macaroni brick. Sure enough, the set contains 8 of them in (new) dark grey and (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Announcing new comprehensive book on Lego on CD.

(...) Hi Gary, I meant to post to this thread when it was new, but better late than never I guess. :) Anyway, I was thinking about this issue of printed vs. CD again today and wondered if you'd thought about doing both? Sort of like what Eric (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.books)

Re: Named Beams (church and VW)

(...) I've seen a AD 1762, and a Anno 1762 brick. If you have a picture of a plain 1762 brick that you could share, I'd like to add it to my gallery (with picture credit as shown). (2 URLs) (...) I always thought this was intentional in order to use (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: A fan no more

(...) Where exactly? No studded beams in 8436, 8451, 8453, 8454, 8441, 8455, 8434, 8433, 8435. These are 'Technic' sets from last 2 years. (...) I don't think the people have issues with studless beams per se. I think they have issues with (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Perspective

(...) Our family knows an Afghan, and he was telling us about how he visited one family, and the child was complaining about school, and didn't want to go. He said that if this boy went to Afghanistan, he would be very thankful for school and all (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: A fan no more

(...) Yeah, I suppose when you look at too many fantastic models you can start to feel a bit pathetic. Thanks for the advice (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: A fan no more

(...) I think that when TECHNIC bricks are used, a more solid appearance is given to the model. I personally quite like 8455. I think the previous technic excavators had a too blocky appearance. There are a lot of pneumatics in a small area and (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Who made this Frog

Thomas, Last December I went to the Art Institute in Henderson, Nevada to try out when TLG came here for the Master Model Builder Search. I had one of the worst colds of my life! :) I remember cursing myself because they had a lot of neat models (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: A fan no more

(...) I'd be genuinely curious to see some specific uses where you feel this to be the case. I'm one of those people who mostly just uses the old-style TECHNIC bricks when I want TECHNIC features in a standard brick construction (like Moonbase (...)   Re: A fan no more

(...) For me, building out of LEGO is theraputic. I have fun building things, and appreciate the inventiveness that LEGO provides. I like your ship. I particulary like your uses of pneumatic hoses for non-pneumatic purposes. Don't worry about (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)
