  Re: 2004 Castle Products

(...) Thanks for the consideration. (...) Now this is interesting. What is TLG capable of? We've seen the quality of Castle sets progressively get worse every year since about 1992. We've seen Bionicle cannabilize the Technic line. We've seen the (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: an idea for the new colors in the 2004 sets

(...) TO be honest, I think it's a pretty lame idea. Either way, there is no way the handful of us adults will make the impact you want to make. AND it will make a well-meaning clerk's day a little bit more stressful. -lenstu (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

an idea for the new colors in the 2004 sets

I've decided I'm just going to start buying these sets, and then returning them - opened - saying that "these grey pieces don't match the grey pieces I already have..." Yea, it's petty, but if enough people started doing it I guarantee you it would (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.general) !

Re: Spray Paint Gone Awry - Need Help

As Larry said, cleaning this many parts with Brasso would be an enormous job and it wouldn't work on anything textured, like roof bricks, and would take the printing off any printed parts. My suggestion would be to take some of the more disposable (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Update on color issue

In lugnet.lego, Jake McKee wrote: (Snipped.) (...) Jake, Thanks. I, like others, hope that this is only an addition to LEGO's colors and not intended to replace colors we've known for decades. I personally feel that will be the case when it's all (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: 2004 Castle Products

(snip) (...) After the color change announcement (Rocco, this one's for you) I think there will be a lot of wild theories floating around. The train of though goes like this "If Lego will discontinue core colors what else are they capable of?" (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: 2004 Castle Products

(...) After the stupendous success of Galidor, I have nothing but great optimism for this product line. (...) I'm sorry, but very often this is exactly the case, at least for several years. The inclusion of juniorization equaled the demise of good (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Update on color issue

(...) Dear Jake, you seem to have expected otherwise - I wonder how that could be? Anyway, sorry for your ruined slow week ;) With all the changes going on lately in the LEGO cataloge and the lack of an information flow worth mentioning (despite (...)   Re: 2004 Castle Products

(...) Yes, Tom does raise an important point. However, it is the same point that was raised in all of the "color change" threads, and it is off-topic in this thread no matter how far he wants to stretch a tangent that connects them. Personally, I am (...) (22 years ago, 25-Nov-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)
