  Re: My Chosen Hobby

(...) Respect is absolutely a two-way street. TLC has none for the adult consumer, not unless it somehow coincides with something they were planning anyway. Much is made of the tiny part of the market we represent, so fine-- that's just proof that (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Think about what it means when your colors don't match any more. I expounded more on it (URL) here>, but I think this shows a fundamental shift at LEGO, away from creativity (i.e., dump all your sets together and build something) and toward (...) (...) You are absolutely correct on this point, and I couldn't agree more. I've been somewhat taken aback by the tone taken by many here the last few days, particularly with regard to the color change and the BioniCastle issue. Abusing Jake is not (...) (...) Edit: I know it's bad form to reply to oneself, but I wanted to try to respond to the previous post in the voice of the average, emotionless, lugnet-zombie... <delurk> Gee, I don't know what to say to that...I think I disagree. David, Truly well spoken. I don't care if they say it misses the point or not - I'm in 101% total agreement. I've only been into this for 10+ years, but I think I know what I'm doing well enough by now that I know why I like lego. Sounds like you (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Why wait until 2005? Here are the new castle figures we heard so much about: (URL) Isn't that great! I bet they did a lot of market research on this decision too. Wow, I just love TLC. They make such great stuff. -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Well, if I understand the tide of sentiment here on LUGNET (as well as the corporate Newspeak dished out by TLG), you need to maintain a special perspective while exmining this issue: When LEGO demonstrates wide (and random) variations in (...)   Re: My Chosen Hobby

(...) Again, this misses the point. I think what most people are upset about is not new colors appearing, but old colors disappearing. Sorry to flog a Dark Grey horse... - Chris. (22 years ago, 19-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)
