  Brickshelf broken??

I get a 404 error: "Not Found The requested URL /cgi-bin/gallery.cgi was not found on this server." for any Brickshelf folder I try to visit. Kevin, are you working on something, or is it broken? --Bill. XFUT: lugnet.publish.html (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish.html)

Re: MISBI Lego Price Guide available NOW!

(...) Have most people given up on eBay in favor of Bricklink? I find them both useful. In general I find that eBay is cheaper. It's in the nature of the method of sales. Someone wants to sell *now* versus someone who can wait until he gets his (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

I still prefer the 8862 backhoe. Much better IMHO!!

(...) Meh. The 8862 backhoe is better, in my opinion. I like how it uses a mix of pneumatics and gears+axles. I love the solid chunky tires of 8862, and they fit much better a heavy tractor than the air filled balloon tires of 8466. (Which *do* fit (...) I think that by relying solely on eBay data that this reference will be of limited use. My reasons for this conclusion are as follows: 1) EBay prices don't seem to be particularly representative of anything to me, except sometimes something along (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Which 1x4x3 is better for skyscrapers: clear or transparent?

I want to buy some 1x4x3 wall elements for building a skyscraper. What looks better: the clear ones (3507) or the tinted blue ones (3447)? (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Which 1x4x3 is better for skyscrapers: clear or transparent?

I was leaning towards the clear ones since they're a "neutral" color. Do the clear ones make the skyscraper look goofy?   Re: Which 1x4x3 is better for skyscrapers: clear or transparent?

(...) I've used both in my buildings, but the blue ones are most visible in the one tower I built. I think the color helps with scale. In a real building, in the sunlight, you can't see inside very well. (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)
