Jumpship Inhibitors, Hmm. In Starwars they inhibited faster than light travel
with Interdictor ships. Which jerked ships out of Hyper/Jumpspace using large
amounts of gravity. With the gravity fields kept up a ship couldnt jump
outsystem and was at the mercy of the enemy fleet. The same logic could be
applied to massive Interdiction fields which could strand ships outsector and
force them in on normal power, alowing the local fleet time to ready itself for
an attack.
