Galactic Greetings!

Arg!  Fleebnorks have invaded my computer!  Darn that Grand Admiral!  (Sorry
Mark, couldn't help but hint at your jokes here...)

Okay Starship players, I just wanted to check in.  I understand that various
aspects of this game have been slowed down by my recent delays and absences.  I
want to assure you that I am still giving considerable time to the game, and
this will show (in the form of a site update) in good time.  I recently
mentioned that I had a schedule change (amongst other issues [read: Fleeb]).  It
is just taking me a week or so to really adjust things and settle into a
sensible routine that includes all my hobbying.  This *will* happen.  I really
do appreciate all the patience everyone has shown regarding this.

During the first two months of the game, site updates were almost once every two
weeks, and movement updates more reliable.  I hope to return to that level of
customer service soon, as I certainly want this game to continue to succeed.  I
just ask you all to bear with me for a bit more.  (I have already setup a
database with every ship that has registered thus far, inlcuding several new
ones.)

Meanwhile, let me point out the good things that have kept this game going:
Allow me to thank all the Sector Mediators out there who have continued to run
their adventures regardless of my mishaps in deep space.  Among those I have
seen as a player, the action emails have been very creative and fun, often
including detailed descriptions of what a sector's environment looks like or how
the culture appears.  I feel like I have been reading a good science fiction
novel.

The players also have been having their share of input.  For example, in my own
sector, I recently had a player take an image of a scene I had mailed him and
then photoshop it to include his visiting androids.  Great fun!

More to come...
