I posted earlier that I was going to try to get a game up and take some
shots of it. I grabbed a few friends and laid out a crude map ( space
considering-- it was pretty cramped ). We were really playtesting some new
rules, but it was fun to boot.
The setup:
100 Union soldiers with 3 cannons in massed formations Vs 75 Rebel Soldiers
with 5 cannons and spread formations.
We set out skirmishers ( the guys on their own little baseplates ) and gave
them a little movement bonus. A extra cannon was set on a hill in the middle
of the field. A little incentive for whoever could get to it first.
We called the game after about 3 hours. We all had finals the next day. It
worked pretty even in casualties: 29 for the union, 20 for the rebs.

We're working on a medival wargame next. If anyone in the Washington D.C.,
Maryland area wants to set something up, give me a holler.
