How do you 'make' a fig portable gun?

...In our last game, I had a Mk II balistik that two figs toted around.
I basically made it a very tiny building that was basically just a gun
and controls and the figs toted it based on its weight (2 figs could
carry it at -1"). I costed it at like 30 pts or so (replaced a squad
with 2 unarmed figs and the gun). What's ur read on the situation?

There are any number of different ways to do it, depending on the gun, and the
attention span of the player building it.  Your way is one perfectly good way
(this is one of those areas that fits under the 'fudge everything you can get
away with' rule); you can also build it as a one-piece vehicle or mounted on
nothing at all, depending on your idea of how the gun works.  Here are some of
the things you may want to consider (depending on how 'serious' you're feeling
at the time of construction):

Some guns (like Lasers) require a power source; you should buy a series of
PowerPax to connect to these.

Wheel mounts for guns (such as artillery cannons) are Unpowered Vehicles which
cost half the price of Powered Vehicles (as described in 4.1.2).  There is a
new chapter section for unpowered artillery which must be loaded by hand
(6.3.4: Cannons).  For other types of big guns, if the performance of the gun
is severely impeded by the fact that it is unpowered (e.g., a catapult
operated by minifigs is much more difficult to use than an equivalent
automatic powered mass driver), then the gun costs half price.  If the gun
operates at full performance, it costs full price.

Weapons that have a serious amount of recoil (such as cannons) must be set
down and braced before they are fired.  Minifigs who are attempting to hold
such a weapon at the time of discharge may be subject to serious concussion
damage.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
