Use two d6s, preferably different colors. First one is the 'range': 1 (1
or 2), 2 (3 or 4), 3 (5 or 6), etc... Reroll if this comes up '6'. Second
d6 says if you use the higher or lower number in the range. 1-2-3: low,
4-5-6: high.
So if your two dice come up:
1, 4: 2
4, 2: 7
3, 5: 6
It takes some getting used to, but after a few throws it becomes pretty
automatic. :-)
Or, just use a d20 if you've got one, and consider it 1-10 twice! (11=1,
13=3, etc...)
