Re: The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

(...) If you like the idea of a "traditional wargame", you may wish to try out my new lego RPG. However, it's only castle related to a sense, however, could still work for space if one were to augment it further. (URL)Possible powers: (...) Yeah, (...)   Re: The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

(...) Steve, that's not true. Most rules are indeed set up in the "two-player" frame of mind, as was M:TG, but this is where creativity comes in. We used to play Magic with tables full of people, sometimes in a pattern (you could only attack those (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

Re: The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

(...) Yeah, unless you introduced a ruling that a unit can only be built from pieces from a specific base - you could have a staging area by the base where your unit sits while it is being constructed. That way all you have to do is mark which unit (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

Re: The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

(...) Yes - I like this idea - equivalent to your deck in a CCG. Capturing pieces might be a problem as it would be tough to remember exactly who owned what. Your case could represent your base, or the remaining parts could be built into a base. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

Re: The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

Hmmm, of course you could go for the idea of everyone builds one unit at the start, stats it up and then you place your case (with it's remaining pieces) on the board. You own this case. Each turn you can take 1D6 pieces from each case you own and (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

The Portable Lego Game (was Re: Portable Bot Factory)

(...) A great idea. A quick hello first - I am a long time lurker, first time poster. My name is James and I am a legoholic! I live in Reading in the UK. I have yet to post any pictures, but hope to. Soon. I promise.... I emerged from my "Dark Age" (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Portable Bot Factory

(...) Hmmmm ... how hard would it be to come up with a game system based around these portable cases? Each case would be limited to a given number of *pieces*, but each person could use whatever pieces they so desired. Then a person builds a robot (...)   Re: STUDfest XVII Honey I shrunk the Bricks! (or is it that time again already)

(...) These micro mechs are easy to build, (he gives hints) and the game is way easy to learn and fun to play. I've played a few times since I asked about it last week, and the more people you have playing at once, the more fun it is. Actually (...) (22 years ago, 14-Nov-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Mechaton(tm)

(...) ...Excellent! I had wanted a micro scale kind of game (too damn lazy for refit MFD for microscale). Has anyone played this? It looks like just the right level of easy and silly to be a lot of fun! (URL) cool microscale mechs! ++Lar (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.build.mecha)
