hi,
The idea of Donald Duck figures has been running around in my head ever
since you spoke of their huge popularity there.
All I've come up with is Questions?
I wonder how specific the licensing agreement is that TLC has with Disney.
I know it would be specific on time span, but does it specify only Mickey,
Minnie and Pluto as characters? Would a new agreement be required to add
Donald and friends? Huey, Duey and Lewy (probably didn't spell them
correctly, but you know who I mean) could have HATS!!! and would call for a
smaller size figure? Perhap TLC would reintroduce the wheelbarrow for
Scrooge McDuck to cart his $ around in. Daisy could have a hand held
umbrella??? Maybe this is too much to hope for.... What other classic
accessories might be appropriate??? Maybe some of the larger rowboats and
special oars??? What other treasures????
I do wonder about how a Duck figure would look. The Mickey and Minnie have
rounded bottoms which makes sitting an unstable affair. Would a Duck
bottom be even rounder with even more problems. Wouldn't it be grand if
they went back to the classic Fabuland body and just had Duck heads. Then
the figures could sit properly and the legs could be independent of each
other instead of one unit as with the new Mickey and Minnie. I shall dream
on.... :-)
regards,
sheree
(didn't want to intrude on local conversation , i am never quite sure
whether to cross post or not ....)
