As always there are fresh and exciting MOCs in both new and existing catagories.
The public were overly impressed (as usual). But what keeps me coming back to
LEGO AFOL events are the people; the reunion-like atmosphere of the AFOLs and
the amazed and excited public faces.
Making the in-person acquaintances of people that I have had chatted with online
is always a delight. It's like we know each other but never really met; that's a
cool feeling! Or having lunch with someone that I haven't seen for several
years, it's great to catch up! "I haven't laughed like this in months!" was my
favorite quote from Dan Parker.
I had a great time hanging out, sharing meals (& a couple beers), and goofing on
each other. And especially making Steve Wit nervous in front of everybody
without even trying! :)
Thanks to Wayne, the NWBrickCon Staff, all the volunteers and fellow AFOLs for a
great weekend!!!

| NWBrickCon ended this evening and it was a great event. Watch for more details from others, but here are some highlights from the main room: 1. A giant, 30 foot long castle display. This is the largest castle display I have seen at any con, period. (...) (18 years ago, 9-Oct-06, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)
