Jason, it was really great meeting you and seeing your amazing MOCs. The Leonov
truly deserved the award. Thanks to everyone else from Parlugment for hanging
out. Jude, repeat after me: "y'all".
This BrickFest was the first time ever that I got to hang out with other AFOLs,
and I actually felt at home with my hobby. (I tend to be the shy type of AFOL,
"no these Lego toys aren't for me! No sir, they're for my... uh... "). I
returned to southwest VA with rekindled inspiration to start a local group (any
AFOLs in the New River Valley or Roanoke area, let me know!). Of course I also
have new inspirations to build! Now if only life would stop getting in the way.
Maybe I should quit my job. ;-)
The icing on the cake was coming home to find an early birthday present from my
fiancée: a new Lego worktable! Complete with hutch and rolling cart to hold my
big bins. Awesome!
