WOW! Just returned home to Ontario and I couldn't wait to log on and thank
everyone for the impressive quality of the Micro MOCs that were displayed this
year at BrickFest.
The display itself quickly overtook the area that it was intended to fill and
soon began to spread to cover over 40 feet because of the outstanding effort of
31 great builders. The efforts of each builder exceeded any and all
expectations I had. A huge thank you to all those that submitted entries.
Congratulations to all of you that participated, the votes were very close. I
was thrilled when people approached me with support, surprise or plans of future
MOCs. It seems to me that the Micro bug bit some AFOLs hard. With this sort of
growth, maybe next time the Micro Town will have to be renamed to Micro World.
I would like to thank Christina and Joe for their outstanding organisation and
hard work. Christina's enthusiasm for the Micro Town was certainly contagious,
and any question or requests I had of Joe was answered fully and at lightening
speed. Thank you Larry for bringing me on board for this project.
Thanks to Ashley Glennon for all the support and promotion he gave prior and
throughout the event as well as his excellent presentation on Micro-Scaled
building. Also a thank you to David Gregory for layout scenery as well as Ross
Crawford for layout roads, base-plates and for him agreeing to let me use his
Lil'Dumper instruction sheets as handouts.
I already have my next Micro project planned . . . do you???
