If you’re coming (and we hope you are!), one thing you can REALLY do to help out the (all volunteer, all fans like you!) coordinators is this... get those MOC cards filled out so we know what’s coming and can plan any last minute jiggers we need to jiggle.

You can go here if you’re logged in to take care of it... It would be ever so terrifically appreciated!

Since the brickfest team keeps stressing these Moc Cards, I’m gonna fill them out, but I have to say I feel a little weird doing so. The majority of creations I will be bringing are going to be either in the MichLTC section of the train display or in the CCC layout. Where would these cards be placed, such that it makes sense with the creations being elsewhere?

They would be placed on the edge of the layout near the creation.

Although reading the bit above, I guess having the cards filled out gives the coordinators an idea on space, so I don’t necessarily have to print them out and bring them along. Is this right? Or no?

It helps to print them out and bring them but even unprinted they help the coordinators out. If the creation is embedded in a layout, note that in the description if you can.

I was thinking, if MOC Cards are displayed all over in a layout or Display, it might break up the look of the display and or interfere with aspects of the display. So perhaps, instead of the cards being put in the layout, why not make an “Information” table in each room or nearby area where the MOC Cards can be gathered and additional information like websites, printed materials etc set up and placed for the taking or reading.

Have a MOC card table in each room. When placing to many MOC cards begins to disrupt the look of a display, just put them all on an adjacent Information Table. You could do corresponding cues, like matching bricks with MOCs and Cards.

Just a thought.
