The NWBrickCon is now underway. An international lineup of LEGO fans were
on hand Friday afternoon for the initial set-up, registration and
meet-and-greet.
Here's around a dozen photos to kick things off.

Here's an overview of the NWBrickCon set-up.
The ground level of the Seattle Center features Dan Parker's giant Statue of
Liberty, Wayne Hussey's Ferry and a unique LEGO quilt from the collection of
Peter Cyrus.
Just up the elevator from Dan and Wayne's grand sculptures is a huge train
layout, roughly S-shaped and fitting within the contour of the building.
Around the corner and at the top of the main stair entry is a nice gallery
where registration, catalog distribution and the MINDSTORMS fans have set up
a nice demonstration area.
Down the hall in a large conference room is where the remainder of the MOCS
reside. In the center of the room is a huge moonbase with the perimeter
surrounded by various themed creations and a building area.
The wide hallways are lined with some of Wayne's handiwork including an
Empire State building and "Buck Rogers" style rocket.
The event is spread out nicely, not too far, but just enough so that
visitors and participants can move from area to area and immerse themselves
in that area's specific theme.
Watch for more reports from NWBrickCon participants coming soon!
